Attorney Jeff Irby to Attend Community Action Poverty Simulation

Attorney Jeff Irby will be attending the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) in February. This unique event is being organized by theVolunteer Lawyer’s Program and is designed to help ordinary citizens get firsthand experience as to what it’s truly like to live in poverty. Through the help of non-profit organizations and Community Action clients, the Poverty Simulation works to promote poverty awareness, increase our understanding of what it’s like to live in poverty, and inspire change in communities where poverty exists.

Jeff has a long history with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program. In 2012, he won the Pro Bono Bankruptcy Volunteer award, and last year he was asked to go to Montgomery, Alabama, to attend The Pro Bono Bankruptcy Summit at the Alabama State Bar.
